Imperial-Mexicali 230-kV Transmission LinesEIS Schedule

The DOE and BLM completed the Imperial-Mexicali 230-kV Transmission Lines EIS, and a Record of Decision issued in April, 2005.

In an order, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California stated that it would defer until July 1, 2004, the setting aside of the presidential permits and the FONSI, and ordered DOE and BLM to seek a hearing date on or before May 15, 2004, to brief these issues. DOE and BLM intend to prepared and issued a Final EIS by April of 2005.

The Final EIS has been issued, and its availability has been announced in the Federal Register and this web site. Public comments were solicited on the Draft EIS. The Final EIS is available on the World Wide Web at tis.eh.doe.gov/nepa/documentspub.html, and on this web site under Documents.
