Linde Remedial Action Project
Summary of the October 2000 Air Monitoring DataThe October 2000 data indicate there were no statistically significant release of radioactivity from the Linde site during the month. The calculated dose from the site to the public during this period at nine of ten perimeter samplers is 0.00 mrem. The calculated airborne dose to the public at Perimeter Sampler #5, at Holmes Elementary School, is 0.02 mrem for October 2000. This may be due to small environmental variations since Holmes Elementary School is generally upwind of the site. Each of the air samplers between the excavation area and the school has a calculated dose to the public of 0.00 mrem during this period (Perimeter samplers #3, #4, #7 and #8). To date, the sum of the calculated airborne doses at all locations are below the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) goal of 10.0 mrem/year to members of the public. |
