This portion of the web site provides links to sources of information and assistance regarding technologies for site cleanup and restoration. Many of these sources identify innovative technologies and methodologies that may be applicable to solving the Navy's environmental problems. Identification of a specific technology is intended for information purposes only and does not necessarily represent Navy acceptance or endorsement of the product.

Alternative Restoration Technology Team (ARTT) Exit to WWW - The ARTT is a Navy work group that promotes the use of innovative environmental restoration technologies. It has been established to promote the use of innovative technologies and methods in the Navy Installation Restoration Program.

EPA Environmental Response Team Exit to WWW - The Environmental Response Team Center offers an array of products to assist other environmental responders both in the field and in the office. These products include software packages, standard operating procedures for a variety of data collection activities, and other information.

MARINE Environmental Support Office (MESO)  Exit to WWW - In response to concerns about compliance with increasingly stringent marine environmental regulations, the Marine Environmental Support Office (MESO) was established as a Naval Environmental Protection Support Service (NEPSS) Specialty Office to: (1) provide Navy commands with rapid access to marine scientists and information to answer compliance questions; (2) help resolve complex marine environmental problems including marine environmental quality assessment and data analysis and habitat protection; and (3) minimize impact on Fleet operations while maintaining compliance with applicable local, state and Federal marine environmental regulations.

NAVFAC Ecological Risk Technical Assessment Team (ERTAT) Exit to WWW - The ERTAT is a centrally funded technical assistance group that provides technical assistance with ecological risk assessments.

NFESC Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Program Exit to WWW - The BAA is a streamlined, flexible contracting approach that identifies a range of innovative technologies and methodologies to address the Navy's environmental problems. The BAA provides direct access to over 300 technologies and 200 contractors that have been pre-screened and evaluated by the BAA Program.

NFESC Environmental Restoration and BRAC Web Site Exit to WWW - This web site supports the Navy's Environmental Restoration Program. It provides links to technical information for environmental restoration, including information on analytical methods for laboratory analyses, methods for conducting the various steps of the environmental cleanup program, and technologies for use in investigating, monitoring, managing, and remediating contaminated sites. The site also provides links to related sites at other federal agencies and organizations, including the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. DOE.

U.S. DOE Technology Connection (TechCon) Program Exit to WWW - The TechCon program provides technical assistance to DOE site project teams in the identification, screening, and deployment of innovative, commercially available remediation technologies.
