The Northeast Reliability Interconnect Draft EIS has been issued, and its availability has been announced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Federal Register. The full text of the Draft EIS is available for downloading or online browsing in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. The Draft EIS is also available for public inspection at several public libraries in Maine, and on the DOE NEPA Web site. Public hearings will be held at which members of the public may submit comments on the Draft EIS. The times, dates, and locations for these hearings are available on this Web site (Public Hearing Schedule) and through other media.
The public comment period for the Northeast Reliability Interconnect Draft EIS is open. Please use the Public Comment Form on this web site to submit comments.
The public will have 45 days to review and comment on the Northeast Reliability Interconnect Draft EIS. DOE will accept written comments on the Draft Northeast Reliability Interconnect EIS postmarked by October 11, 2005, and electronic comments via the web site received by October 11, 2005.
