Data Submission Options
The submission of relevant documents to the Parameter Catalog database for the benefit of all users is highly encouraged. However, note that any suggested data source must be publicly available, and any document that is unobtainable or deemed inappropriate for the Catalog will be rejected. Two input options are available. The first option requires user submission of enough document information to find the reference and obtain a copy of the document. At that time, the document information will be entered into the database and made available on the Catalog web site. The second option allows user input of all relevant document and related parameter information directly into the database. This second option allows the submitted document to be made available on the web site sooner than the first option. For the second option, a preliminary quality assurance (QA) check will be made before the document is made available on the web site. This preliminary check consists of verifying the existence of the suggested document and the accuracy of the document citation. A further QA check will be made later to assure the accuracy of the document's parameter information as entered. The information received by users will be processed as soon as possible for both input options. More timely estimates will become available as the Parameter Catalog matures and the level of support necessary to maintain the Catalog is ascertained.
