The beta version of the updated MILDOS-AREA software (MILDOS 2.0B)
was recently provided to the NRC. This version of the software runs
in the Windows 3.1, Windows 95, and Windows NT (4.0) operating
environments. The beta testing of the MILDOS-AREA interface and
software began in early October and is scheduled to last until
mid-November 1998. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the
sponsor) encourages interested individuals to participate in this
beta test of the software. Individuals participating in beta testing
are asked to submit comments to the Forum provided here, to allow
others to see comments (the preferred approach), or comments may be
submitted directly to the NRC and ANL staff .
The beta version may also be downloaded for user evaluation without
participating in the beta testing, but users should note that the
final version of the software will likely be different from the beta
version. Users and potential beta testers wishing to download the
software will be asked to register; this information will only be
used to provide additional information and updates to people who
have downloaded the software.
