A model designed for
baseline risk assessment based on measured concentrations in the
environmental media.
Follows EPA's guidance
on risk assessment for superfund (RAGS).
Includes both radionuclides
and hazardous chemicals.
Calculates radiological
doses and cancer risks from exposure to radioactive materials
and calculates hazard indexes and cancer risks from exposure to
noncarcinogenic and carcinogenic chemicals, respectively.
Considers 14 exposure
pathways: inhalation of dust, radon, and volatile chemicals, ingestion
of plant, meat, milk, aquatic foods, soil, and drinking water,
incidental ingestion of water while swimming, external exposure
from soil and air immersion, and dermal absorption from swimming,
showering, and soil contact.
User-friendly code
runs under Windows with tabular output, graphical output, and
sensitivity analysis capability.
